Performance

The multi-ply fabric is water friendly, fast-drying, light-weight and great for all temperatures and terrains. Dog-Sok™ does not contain Velcro, zippers, drawstrings or fasteners for easy and comfortable fitting and movement. Dog-Sok™ is a four-season activity garment made of multi-ply compression material, like activewear for humans.

Rehabilitation

The compression material and no-fastener design produces the comforting effects of a hug that encourages an overall feeling of safety. It helps reduce anxiety for dogs that are highly sensitive to environments. Dog-Sok™ can also be used as an alternative to “the cone” to safeguard some veterinary procedures.

Protection

Dog-Sok™ integrates an easy-to-use, flexible pocket for use of a GPS-tracking device and is a better alternative to a dog-tag tracking device. GPS-trackers enable owners to be proactive in a search considering chips are not traceable. Dog-Sok™ can also serve as a “rash-shirt” for working dogs like K9’s, hunting or service dogs that wear vests or outer gear.

4 Simple Steps for Dog-Sok™

1. Fit

With the leg holes facing downward, simply pull Dog-Sok™ over your dog’s head. Gently pull down on the material and place each leg in the left and right holes.

2. Adjust

Once the head and legs have been place, pull the fabric around the back and under side of your dog, pulling towards the tail. This will insure a snug fit.

3. Observe

Interact with your dog as normal. Allow the comforting and protective effects of Dog-Sok™ to develop and become routine with your dog.

4. Care

Maximum wear time should be for 6-8 hours. Dog-Sok™ is washer/dryer friendly and should be cleansed regularly, depending on use.

Dog-Sok™ Story

For Dog-Sok™ founders, Chris and Stacey Coughlan, passion is a way of life. And their passion is caring for those around them and making the world a little bit better through personal and business pursuits. Their passion devoted care for their labrador, Mulligan, is how the idea for Dog-Sok™ formed.

Mulligan is a very active, chocolate labrador retriever with high-anxiety. He is a great working dog and often exposed to different terrains and temperatures. Given his sensitivity to environments and social anxieties, Stacey and Chris set out to find a solution that would reduce Mulligan’s distress and be suitable for any surrounding. Using Stacey’s athletic shirt, makeshift fasteners and impressive improvisation for fitting, the first version of Dog-Sok™ was created. They were astonished and elated at the difference in Mulligan’s behavior while he wore Dog-Sok™. Mulligan is more active, less anxious and an overall happier dog.

The new and improved design enhances the anxiety-relieving and comfort qualities of Dog-Sok™. Staying true to their life passion, the Coughlans released the newly-designed Dog-Sok™ to families, public servants with K9 partners, local social communities and humane organizations.
